| Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH) recently received a Gold International MarCom Award for the 2006 - 2007 Hospital and Foundation Annual Report, which highlighted the Hospital’s service to the community.
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition, administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals who strive for excellence in medical marketing. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. The Gold International MarCom Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm - only 18% of more than 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries.
Françoise Gervais, the Hospital’s Marketing Coordinator, along with Cheryl Callnan, Director of Development, and Mary Boëchat, Development Associate, produced the Report. Tim Garrity, CEO, said “We try to achieve the highest quality in everything we do. The annual report represents our hospital very well.”
Stan Bergen, the past Chair of the Hospital Board of Trustees, is not surprised the Hospital won the award. “The Hospital’s Development and Marketing Department deserves a gold star for excellence,” he says. “The narratives in the report tell the story of a hospital that is a committed and caring entity. It captures the heartbeat (of BHMH) and makes it live.”
