Blue Hill Memorial Hospital recently received a 2007 Silver Aster Award for the 2006 - 2007 Annual Report, highlighting the hospital's service to the community. The Aster Awards Program, hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc., provides national-level recognition for healthcare organizations and advertising agencies who strive for excellence in medical marketing.
"Blue Hill Memorial Hospital is among the top in the nation for healthcare advertising expertise, specifically scoring in the top 12 percent of approximately 3,000 entries," said Melinda R. Lucas, Aster Awards Program Coordinator. "Entrants compete against similar-sized organizations in their category, and their work is judged by a diverse panel of healthcare marketing experts on creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal."
Tim Garrity, President and CEO, sees the hospital's annual report "as a way for us to keep the community informed about this vital community resource. He affirms that, "the quality of this document is reflective of the quality of care we offer and our commitment to the community."
Charlie Hatfield, current Chair of the Hospital Board of Trustees, said, "This most recent Aster Award is another example of the consistent, superb quality of our marketing and public relations department. It is one thing to receive an award, but quite another to be acknowledged year after year. I salute all those who have contributed, in particular Françoise Gervais."
All winners are posted on the Aster Awards' website (www.AsterAwards.com), as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
