BLUE HILL — Blue Hill Memorial Hospital received national recognition as the recipient of two 2004 Avatar patient satisfaction awards: Five Star Inpatient Care and Five Star Emergency Department Care. This means BHMH had the highest overall patient satisfaction scores than any other hospital. BHMH was also the most improved for inpatient care for its bed size in the past year. In 2002, the Hospital also ranked number one for Inpatient Care for its size.
In accepting these awards, Paula Theriault, Chief Nursing Officer said: “All departments in the hospital are to be congratulated in achieving these awards. We have a great hospital team that works together and commits to patient satisfaction everyday.”
The awards are based upon feedback gathered from patients by Avatar, an independent national survey organization. The award signifies that BHMH received the highest patient satisfaction results for inpatient services care and emergency care among all the hospitals surveyed by Avatar.
