Anne Dickens LMSW, Social Services Coordinator, is the third quarter winner of the Gold Standards Employee of the Quarter at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH). The hospital started the employee recognition program in January to reward employees who reflect the highest achievement of BHMH employee standards. The Gold Standard Behaviors are the right attitude; etiquette and courtesy; safety; protecting privacy and confidentiality; excellence; commitment to our values; and teamwork.
Mrs. Dickens was nominated by Patient Care Coordinator, Dewey Grindle, who said, “Anne is consistent, has a helpful personality and possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in social services and working with people. She doesn’t announce it, but she often works late and even comes in on the weekends to meet with patient families if that’s most convenient for them. She has a heart of gold and is committed to giving both inpatients and community members the best advice, choices of services available and optimal individualized care plans. I’ve learned a great deal from working closely with Anne everyday.”
The Reward and Recognition Team designed the program to acknowledge high-performing employees. Employees are encouraged to nominate the physician, mid-level, or other employee (or department) they think deserves recognition. At the end of each quarter, nominees are forwarded to the Management Team for a vote. The quarterly winner receives $250.00 and is eligible for consideration as Employee of the Year.
BHMH strives to be the hospital of choice for patients to receive care, physicians to practice and employees to work. The Reward and Recognition Team focuses on programs and initiatives aimed at acknowledging employees who fulfill the Hospital’s vision across five pillars of excellence: service, people, growth, finance, and quality.
Blue Hill Memorial Hospital is dedicated to providing primary and selected specialty healthcare of outstanding quality, caring for our patients with respect and compassion, and improving the health of the communities we serve.
